Soldering iron CXG E60WT (STM8S103K3) - fork of custom firmware from Lymes (by pav13)
Version from 29.06.2021

Hardware revision:

Installing a vibration sensor (e.g. mercury contactor)
Installation of a piezoceramic buzzer (without generator)

Soldering iron manual with updated firmware

    Soldering iron on / off

Produced by the ON / OFF latching button. When turned on, the soldering iron goes into normal operation, i.e. heating occurs, the set temperature is displayed, then the current one. The temperature change is made with the "+" and "-" buttons. The Celsius symbol indicates the unit of measurement (Fahrenheit is not available). The thermometer symbol indicates the display of the set temperature. The blinking "sun" symbol is a visualization of the PWM operation, which controls the heating element (in the factory firmware, the point in the right discharge was responsible for this, and it was the PWM that was not there, the usual on / off of the heater). The last temperature selected is automatically saved.

    Temperature sensor calibration

A posistor is used as a temperature sensor for these heaters.
Calibration is performed at two points: 100 and 350 C. To enter the calibration mode, turn on the soldering iron with the "+" and "-" buttons held down. Then release the buttons. When performing a calibration, all symbols on the display will light up, and the "sun" symbol will also visualize PWM.
A temperature of 100 C will be displayed and the soldering iron will maintain it. After a while, measure the temperature of the tip and use the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust so that the temperature on the tip becomes about 100 C. After that, press the two buttons "+" and "-" simultaneously (the values for the lower temperature are recorded).
The screen will display 350 and the soldering iron will start heating to this temperature. After a while, measure the temperature of the tip and use the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust so that the temperature on the tip becomes about 350 C. After that, press the two buttons "+" and "-" simultaneously (the values for the upper temperature are recorded). That's it, calibration is complete. The linearity made me very happy.
Also in further work with the soldering iron, you can use the "CAL" menu item, for example, when changing the tip to another.
Note: when performing calibration, do not leave the soldering iron in one position for a long time, so that it does not go into sleep mode.

    Forced mode

There is a forced mode for the propagation of large polygons, activated / deactivated by simultaneously pressing "+" and "-". When you turn on the screen ignites the "Degree Fahrenheit" symbol. The value of the "FRC" menu item is added to the current temperature value. If you do not turn off the mode manually, it will turn off after 3 minutes of the roller's inaction.

    Sleep modes

When installing the vibration sensor, the unrealized functionality appeared in the regular place. There are two sleep modes: sleep and deep sleep.
Sleep: You can set the time from 1 to 250 minutes, by default, 5 minutes, after which the "Moon" symbol will flash on the display. The maximum temperature drops to 100 (this value can be changed from the SL * menu of degrees and will be maintained until the soldering iron is again not used or before the next sleep mode.
A deep sleep: You can set the time from 1 to 250 minutes, by default 10 minutes, after which the display will stop displaying information, the symbol of the "Moon" flashes. Heating the soldering iron is completely disconnected. You can exit a deep sleep mode by pressing the "+" or "-" button, or turning it off and turning on the power.
Note: The time of both modes starts the score from the last movement of the soldering iron in space, for example, if you set 5 and 7 minutes, respectively, then a dream will come after 5 minutes, and after another 2 minutes - a deep sleep. The SL2 value may be less than the SL1 time, while the usual sleep will not immediately come in a deep sleep.

    Device menu

To enter the menu, you need to press the "+" button and turn on the power, then release the button. Moving between items is carried out by double pressing the "+" or "-" buttons (the first press is short, the second is long). The entrance to the menu item occurs automatically after a while. Values ??are changed by the "+" and "-" buttons. Saving values ??occurs immediately (by flashing the symbol "Castle"). Exit the menu is only power off.
Contains the following items:
SOU: Turning on / off sound when installed piezoceramic squeeze. 0 = OFF, 1 = incl, default 1.
CAL: Calibration constant, which adds or subtracted from the final temperature value. from -95 to 95 degrees, default 0.
SL1: Time to sleep. From 1 to 250 minutes, default is 5 minutes.
SL2: Time to deep sleep. From 1 to 250 minutes, by default 10 minutes. May be less SL1.
FRS: The temperature whose value is added to the currently installed in forced mode, from 10 to 250 degrees, by default 40.
HEA: Select the voltage of the installed heater. 110 or 220 volts, default 110.
SL *: Temperature in SL1 sleep mode, default 100.

	Heating element voltage selection

This parameter affects the maximum duty cycle of the PWM. The mains voltage is measured by the ADC of the microcontroller through a resistor divider.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
| Mains voltage, B | Heater voltage, V | Maximum duty cycle |
| 110 | 110 | 85% |
| 110 | 220 | 100% |
| 220 | 110 | 45% |
| 220 | 220 | 85% |
-----------------------------------------------------------------

    Reset settings

Resetting all values from the menu to the default values is done by turning on the soldering iron while holding the "-" button. The calibration values for the temperature sensor are not reset.

    Error codes

ER1: short circuit in the temperature sensor (the heating element may need to be replaced).
ER2: open circuit in the temperature sensor (the heating element may need to be replaced).
ER3: heating of the soldering iron above the maximum temperature (the power transistor may be broken).
ER4: no heating of the soldering iron from a cold state (replacement of the heating element or power switch is possible).

    Sound

Piezoceramic emitter without generator. There is sounding of clicks on the buttons, as well as informing about errors and the transition to sleep.
